Ultra320 drives operate at SCSI bus data rates of up to 320 MB per second--2xquadruple the rate of Ultra/Wide SCSI. With Ultra320/2/3 Drives, HP NetRAID environments and applications will show immediate increases in performance. Ultra2/3 drives are sometimes referred to as LVD (low voltage differential) drives. The low voltage requirement allows integration of the differential drivers and receivers into the SCSI controller. LVD also allows for significantly longer SCSI bus cable lengths.
